You love blueberries?? You put Vanilla in nearly everything?? Then you will be crazy about this blueberry vanilla combo!! And the best on it, you don`t even have to be a professional jam maker to be able to do it 🙂 It`s fast made, tastes delicious and is super healthy on top!
Blueberry Vanilla jam
Stuff you need:
3 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
3-4 tbsp pure maple syrup
2 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
What to do with it:
First place the blueberries together with the maple syrup in a small pot. Let it shimmer on a low heat for about 5 minutes. Stir frequently!
When everything gets soft mash it with a potato masher or use a fork. For a more fruity experience, leave some blueberries whole.
Pour in the chia seeds and cook over low heat, until it thickens. Takes about 10-15 minutes. Stir frequently so it doesn’t stick to the pot!
Once the jam has reached your desired consistency, remove it from the heat and add some vanilla extract. Add more maple syrup if you are on the sweeter side.
Store it in an air-tight container in the fridge and lasts at least for one week.
Enjoy on toast, muffins, oatmeal, pudding, fruits or even add in your smoothie!
