I love making face masks from foods, like avocado or using apple cider vinegar as a toner and rubbing coconut oil pretty much everywhere. By putting on a mask which is so rich in nutrients you give your skin the opportunity to recharge and absorb what it needs,  to make you look and feel even more beautiful! So wear it with dignity while doing all the other stuff like cooking, reading, writing, having a bath or even sweating the floor. So here are two of my absolute favorites which literally let you glow.

Raw Honey & Coconut Oil Mask

First thing that you should know is that not all honey is created equal. Unfortunately, most of the honey found in grocery stores has been processed with heat, which kills off healing enzymes and destroys a lot of the nutrient-rich content. Raw honey on the other hand is still full of these healing enzymes and nutrients that are very beneficial for your skin. Did you also know that Raw Honey has the ph of 4.5.?  This means it falls within our skin’s naturally pH level. With Raw Honey we mean honey as it exists without being heated above 47 degrees Celsius.

Virgin Coconut Oil gets quickly absorbed by the skin which makes it to a good carrier oil for natural cosmetic products.

Benefits of Raw Honey:

contains antiseptic properties

heals Acne

brightens and evens out the skin tone

lightens scars and age spots

Benefits of Coconut oil:

provides anti-oxidant properties

fights against free radicals

softens the skin

Here is what you to need:

1 teaspoon Virgin Coconut Oil

1 teaspoon raw Honey

Here is what you do:

Mix the Virgin Coconut Oil and the Raw Honey together in a bowl until it gets a bit more creamy. Depending on the honey, if it gets to liquid add a bit more honey or reduce the amount of oil.

Take your fingertips or a cosmetic brush and apply the mixture on to your face.

Let mixture rest on your face for about 15 min and then rinse off gently with warm water. Pat dry your face with a soft towel.

Note: This mask might drip a bit so have a towel next to you!

Spirulina Detox Mask

Turmeric is a natural antiseptic which means it acts against bacteria and inflammation. In Asia it is know as a good remedy to speed up wound-healing.

Spirulina improves age spots, eczema, acne and rashes.

Coconut oil. What can I say. It`s just an all-rounder an my all time favorite oil and its list of health benefits is endless. In the beauty field it provides moisture by strengthening the underlying tissues as well protects your hair from sunlight.

Here is what you need:

1 teaspoon Spirulina powder

1/2 teaspoon virgin coconut oil

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon water

Here is what you do:

Mix everything together in a ceramic bowl adding a tiny bit of water as needed just enough to make the mask spreadable.

Apply enough of the mixture to cover your face using your hands.

Leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes.

Rinse off with warm water and a soft washcloth.

Note:

Spirulina as well Tumeric are staining! So take care of your clothes ( I always wear a bikini applying that mask ) and use an old washcloth to clear your skin!

Don`t be scared if your face looks a bit yellow after the first wash, it goes away after the second round 😉
